Of note for ChurchandPomo readers will be a recent exchange regarding the prospects and possibilities for a sort of "Christian atheism." Begin with Jon Stanley's Derrida-inspired piece, "Why Every Christian Should ‘Quite Rightly Pass for an Atheist’" and then read Ben Suriano's reply, "On What Could Quite Rightly Pass for a Fetish: Some Thoughts on Whether “Every Christian Should ‘Quite Rightly Pass for an Atheist.’” They model, I think, spirited but respectful debate.
