Cultural theorist Slavoj Zizek will give a lecture at Calvin College on Friday, November 10, at 7pm in the Seminary Auditorium. The title of his talk will be, "In What Sense Was Nietzsche a Christian?" The event is being organized by Jennifer Hardy Williams, Assistant Professor of English at Calvin.
Hi there. This would mark my first comment, but I've been following the conversation fairly closely. Thanks for doing this.
Anyway, I'm wondering if the talk will be recorded in any way. I live in Seattle so attending the lecture is pretty much out of the question, but as a philosophy major, I'm very much interested in the subject matter.

Jamie,
I am with Amanda - is there any way for it to be recorded and made available for those unable to attend?

If I hear any more about audio recordings of Zizek, I'll be sure to post it here. Sometimes authors have qualms about that, but if recordings are available, I'll let you know.

It looks like Zizek doesn't mind. Princeton has a copy of his lecture from last fall: http://www.princeton.edu/~csrelig/public_events/pubeventsvideo.html.
