Starting next week, C&P will begin another series of engagements, this time around Pete Rollins' "How (Not) to Speak of God. Pete has a B.A. in Scholastic philosophy, an M.A. in political theory and criticism, and a Ph.D. in postmodern theory. He is the founder of the Ikon community in Northern Ireland (a group which describes itself as iconic, apocalyptic, heretical, emerging and failing) and a working philosopher who has come to believe that the emerging church presents a singular, unprecedented opportunity to transform the theological and moral architecture of the Christian community.
If you have not had the chance to read Pete's book, then you can check out this interview. Also, for those with the time and interest to track down some of the background to Pete's work, check out a helpful essay by Adam Cleaveland, go read up on Dionysius the Areopagite and his Mystical Theology, as well as dip into some Jean-Luc Marion and his relation to Derrida. Of course Pete has created his own potent use of all these authors according to his own special alchemy, but these will help prepare the conversation.
And lastly, we would love to collect all the links referring/review Pete's book. So if you have written a review (blog or paper) or know of someone who has, please drop off a comment with a link.
peace be with you,

Geoff, this is awesome. Pete's book is one of the most impactful reads I've had in the past few years. I'm looking forward to the interaction.
I have a very modest blog entry about H(N)TSOG(if you even want to call it that) here.
